For the past 20 years, Glove House has been hosting a BBQ in the Park to bring the community together for a fun-filled event while raising funds for the families and children we serve. This year, we’re excited to make the event even more accessible to families from all over the area by moving it to Thorne Street Park in Horseheads, NY, and changing the day to Saturday.
Mark your calendars for our annual BBQ in the Park on May 31st! We’ll be serving lunch from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. and dinner from 4 to 6:30 p.m. Food will once again be provided by Dean-Lane Food & Farmstead, offering attendees a familiar and delicious menu. Meal prices will stay at last year’s rates—$13 for lunch and $17 for dinner. Buy your meal tickets in advance, and you'll be able to skip the ticket line and go straight to the food tent!
This event is still a crucial fundraiser for us, and all proceeds will directly benefit the children and families we serve. There will be plenty of fun activities for the whole family, including carnival games, prizes, inflatables, face painting, and epic bubble making. And thanks to generous donors, we’ll be giving away one bicycle and helmet during meal service and Beanie Babies to every child!
